Revenge On Your Wife/Husband [ROMANS 12:17-21]

First Things First: Got Eternal Life?
Switching it up a little today.
Paul said because of God's love for us, because of His grace and mercy towards us...
This is one way to describe how we should live:
"Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD. Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good."
Romans 12:17-21
Now if Paul suggests we should do good things for our enemies...
How much more should we do good things for each other?
Our goal should NOT be revenge.
Our goal should be to do good.
Our goal should be peace.
With other believers.
With our spouse.
Even when they do us wrong?
Yes. Even when they do us wrong.
Or actually...
ESPECIALLY when they do us wrong.
QUESTIONS TO ASK:
What can I do good for my spouse before we go to bed tonight?
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity do good. Help me to live in peace with everyone, especially my spouse. Show me ways and opportunities to do good for those around me. To point them to the grace, mercy, and love You've shown me. Keep me from doing evil. Help me to live a life glorifying to You. In Jesus' name Amen.
