First Things First: Got Eternal Life?

God will NOT give you everything you desire.

Because we're human.

Everything we desire is not pleasing to God.

Including some of the things we desire for our marriage.

Everything? No.

SOME of the things? Yes.

But that doesn't mean we won't get ANYTHING we desire.

In fact, there are some things we WILL get.

Because...

PSALMS 37:4

"Take delight in the Lord and He will give you your heart's desires."

QUESTIONS TO ASK:

What do I desire in my heart for my marriage?

Is what I desire evidence of me delighting in God?

Or delighting in something else?

PRAYER: Thank you Father for wanting the best for our marriage, for wanting our marriage to glorify You. And allowing us to be a part of Your plans. Help us to delight in You, to find our peace, fulfillment, and joy in You and only You. Help our desires to be Your desires. Forgive us for any desires rooted in anything outside of You. Thank you for turning our hearts to You. For increasing our desire for You. And for gifting us with each other, to support each other when times get rough, to love each other through everything as You love us. Thank You. We love you. In Jesus name, Amen.
