{{contact.first_name}}, personalize each email you send π

Hey ,
Did you know that each person's brain gets activated simply when they hear their own name? - according to a study in 2006.
When you address someone by their name (like this, ), you start to build a trusting relationship.
Since emails are the most personal form of business communication (next to SMS), we can start building those relationships right here in Wix. Instead of saying Dear Friends, you can say Dear Matt β and it'll make me feel like you wrote it especially for me.
Let me show you how to do this on Wix, using Email Marketing Campaigns. It's called Dynamic Text⦠let's dive in.
1. In the Wix Dashboard, use the left sidebar to navigate to Marketing & SEO. Then choose "Email Marketing."
2. Next, create a new Email Campaign (or use a template).
3. Inside the Email Campaign, select the Text element in the left sidebar. I recommend placing this text element at the beginning of the email.
4. Click inside the Text element where you want the name to appear. For example: "Dear Matt" "Hi Matt".
5. Then, go back to the left sidebar, and you will now see several text options from Bold to text alignment. And at the bottom, in blue, select "+ Add Dynamic Value".
6. Once selected, you can choose several options for your contacts: First Name, Last Name, Email, or their own website
7. The last thing you'll do is choose a Fallback value. Let's say your contact does not have a name, because they only gave you their email address. Instead of "Dear (empty space)," you can choose a Fallback value of: "beloved customer". This way anyone who didn't give you that crucial piece of info won't feel like something is missing.
8. Click add and send that lovely marketing campaign. π
Go ahead, and put it into practice.
- Create an Email Marketing Campaign for your followers.
- Add me to the contact list: mattcici@mattcici.com.
- And, mail it.
- I'd be happy to review it for you. Write me.
Fun Fact: Dynamic Text can also be used in Automations with Wix Blog, Wix Ascend, and so much more. Plus, you can even use someone's first name in the subject line.
With the winter and the holiday's coming up⦠what do you want to learn that can help you there? Please send me a quick reply.
Enjoy,
Matt
