Did you know? Apple Pay is the preferred payment method for millions of people around the world — 507 million people, in fact.

48% of iPhone users have enabled Apple Pay on their devices.

Why?

Apple Pay provides a seamless checkout process for all users. When a customer pays for their order using Apple Pay, they don't need to manually enter their credit card information or shipping address. They simply tap the Apple Pay button and scan their fingerprint (or face), and Apple Pay provides that information for your online store automatically.

In the year 2020-2021, a survey found that 2 out of 10 users preferred to check out online with Apple Pay, and that number increased to 5 out of 10 for in-person purchases. For the U.K., the number was even higher. Adoption for contactless payments solutions like Apple Pay has been continuously growing, by a rate of 65 million people in 2020.

During my time at Apple, people really enjoyed learning that their actual credit card number was not being shared or stored with the merchant. So, that makes it the most secure way for them to pay.

There are no extra fees for the customer, or for your business to allow Apple Pay.

Wix recently launched the ability for you to enable Apple Pay for your website's store.

Today, I will show you how to do just that. With Apple Pay, you can rest assured that your customers will have a smooth and easy checkout experience.

Currently, you will need to have Wix Payments enabled. Learn more about Wix payments here.

Let's dive in… this one is quick.

1. Search "Accept Payments" using Wix Universal Search or visit your Wix Dashboard and select "Settings" from the left menu.
2. Choose "Accept Payments"
3. Select "Manage" next to Wix Payments.
4. Then, enable the toggle next to Apple Pay.
5. ✅ That's it!

Note: This feature is brand new to Wix, and so it's limited to the Wix Stores app for now.
