Hey ,

Naming your site in Wix can save you hours of time later, and it will even help send more visitors your way.

By default, your site's name is: MySite. And, if you've created a few in Wix, they'll look like: MySite 1, MySite 2, and so on.

You can see why we'd want to change this.

Not only will naming your site allow Google to know what the website's name is, but also… any links shared by your website visitors on social media will contain the name too!

You get all of these benefits, without having to update what's called the page "Title Tag" in the editor. This can take a lot of time, especially if you have several pages.

For example, my site's name is: "Matt Cici". A page's "Title Tag" shows up on a visitor's browser tab and on search engine results pages like this:

So, how do we do this?

It'll take less than 1 minute. Let's dive in…

To rename your site:

1. Go to your site's dashboard.
2. Select "Site Actions".
3. Select "Rename Site".
4. Enter your site's name.
5. Select "Save". And, you're done 🎉

Now you can get back to doing what you love.
