5 coupon examples for customer loyalty
Nov 10, 2021 10:01 pm
Hi ,
I have noticed a recent influx of emails from brands I follow, letting me know about their upcoming sales.
In fact, a single brand called out one very good reason as to why they were reaching out so early: delivery times.
Ecommerce (online shopping) is on pace to break records once again this year, with online sales expected to grow up to 10% more than last year (and 2020 had already set the record).
"Ecommerce is predicted to account for roughly 20 percent of total retail sales in the U.S." — PMG
That means 1 in every 5 things — are bought online. All this to say… online is where people are at. So, let's meet them there.

As we just mentioned, things are about to get very busy.
With the shopping season fast approaching, let's discuss one way you can engage your audience that's already looking to buy: coupons.
Build customer loyalty on Wix using coupons. There are 5 coupon types (outlined in Step 2 below).
Let's dive in…
How can I create a sale on Wix?
1. In your Wix Dashboard, use the Wix Universal Search, or on the left sidebar, select "Marketing & SEO" then "Coupons".
2. Choose your coupon type. The most popular types are monetary-based discounts (i.e. $5 off) or percent-based discounts (i.e. 10% off).
Note: Depending on which Wix apps you have installed on your Wix website, you may see up to 5 total options (source support.wix.com)
- $ Discount: Offer a fixed price discount, (e.g. $10 off) Learn more
- % Discount: Offer a discount as a percentage, (e.g. 20% off) Learn more
- Free Shipping: Reward customers with free shipping Learn more
- Sale Price: Offer products at a specific price (e.g. Buy t-shirts for only $12) Learn more
- Buy X Get Y Free: Offer free products when making a purchase (e.g. buy 4 cupcakes, get the 5th one free) Learn more
3. Then, give the Coupon a name (for you to remember it by), a code for the customer to use when they check out, and a value ($20 off pictured below).
4. Next, choose to apply this coupon to everything on your website, a select few products, or just a single one.
5. Choose which date(s) you want the coupon to exist for.
6. Apply a limit to how many people can use this coupon, or if they can only redeem it once.
7. Select "Create" to save your coupon, and make it available for use.
8. 🏷 Lastly, promote your sale to your audience. Remember, they don't know what to type into the Promo Code box at checkout unless you tell them.
Email the coupon to your customers / clients… or better yet, create an announcement on your Wix website through a new blog post, email marketing campaign, or using Wix's Social Post feature to publish directly to your social media channels.
