Hey, ,

Running my own business has been one of the most challenging things I've started.

I have a tendency to overload myself, thinking I can take on more than I actually can. Like everything everywhere all at once. Have you felt this way too?

Lately, my days have been a whirlwind of tasks: website work, workshops, courses, moving, and traveling. It's intense, and I've struggled to hit pause or let go of anything.

But amidst the chaos, I'm striving for calm.

When I began my website design venture in 2020, my aim was clear: take charge of my time, focus on personal projects, and choose my pursuits.

Yet, I often find myself prioritizing others' needs over my own, bending rules, extending projects, and doing more than agreed upon.

In 2024, my focus shifts to educationโ€”a leap that excites me and scares me in equal measure. It's a risk, but it's where my heart lies. I am aiming to help more creatives build businesses that they are proud of, that align with their values, and that serve their audience.

At the core of it all are my passions: education, storytelling, and technology.

These passions have fueled me for over 15 years. But each time I inch closer to what brings me joy, hurdles appear, almost like the universe's test.

The book, "The Big Leap," by Gay Hendricks has lingered in my thoughts ever since I read it this summer.

The Big Leap delves into the concept of self-imposed limitations, something I suspect might be holding me back again. And so, it's requiring another read from me.

Winter's arrived in my hemisphere. Last year, it brought intense cold and the second-largest snowfall in history. Winter has a way of amplifying my sense of isolation.

This past week it feels as if I neared, hit the peak of, and now have gone beyond my limit for overwhelm after these hectic weeks.

I need calm.

Finding my calm.

At the end of next week, I'm prioritizing restโ€”a daily dose of Bullet Journaling, savoring new herbal teas, walking outdoors (yes, in the cold), diving into books, and letting films fuel my creativity.

I'm also looking forward to fostering deeper connections with people, something I deeply desire and need.

How are you doing, ?

What are some of the passions that drive you?

I'd love to hear and connect with you.

Enjoy,

Matt
