Honored to Be Named NFTE's Capital Region Volunteer of the Year 🙏🏾

Dear Family,

I’m both humbled and proud to share that I’ve been named the Capital Region Volunteer of the Year by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)at this year’s Regional Finals.

For those who may not be familiar, NFTE is a global nonprofit that activates the entrepreneurial mindset in young people from under-resourced communities. Through experiential learning and real-world connections, they empower students with the tools to think creatively, own their futures, and change the trajectory of their lives.

Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on NFTE’s advisory board—mentoring students, judging pitch competitions, speaking in classrooms, and helping raise over $20,000 to support these life-changing programs.

NFTE’s work is personal to me. I know what it’s like to come from a place where opportunities aren’t always visible, and I also know how powerful it is when someone shows up, believes in you, and helps you see what’s possible.

On May 28th, NFTE will host its Capital Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge, featuring incredible student finalists from across the region. I’d love for you to join me. It’s a free evening of connection, celebration, and a chance to witness what happens when we invest in the next generation.

For those who would be interested in attending, you can Register here

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me and to the team at NFTE for this honor. The work continues.

From LUX, With Love

Matt
