Check Your Inputs

Dear Family,
Whenever I catch up with someone I care about—whether it’s a friend, a mentee, or a family member—and they’re feeling off… anxious, scattered, low energy…I like to ask them a simple question:
“Where are you spending your time? What are you feeding your mind?”
Most of the time, the answer tells me everything I need to know. They’re spending too much time doom-scrolling. They’re plugged into outrage.
They’re running on everyone else’s schedule. Consuming more than they’re creating. The result? Drained. Distracted. Disconnected.
We live in a world that monetizes our attention and feeds off our energy.
If we’re not intentional, we end up leaking power—not because we’re not trying, but because we’re trying to keep up with noise that was never meant to help us grow. Here’s what I like to remind myself and the people I love:
"You don’t have to be everywhere. But you do have to be present somewhere."
Sometimes protecting your energy means unfollowing. Unsubscribing. Logging out. Saying no. Other times, it’s as simple as asking:
“Does this serve me? Or does this drain me?”
Check your inputs. Curate your circle. Choose your content.Your energy is the battery for your excellence.
Charge it wisely.
