Abundance

Dear Family,
Too often, we’re taught to look backward.
To analyze, dissect, and critique the past. And while there’s wisdom in history, there’s also danger in getting stuck there. What if we stopped only looking backward and started designing forward?
I’m not just talking about financial wealth. I
I’m talking about the wealth of tools, access, and possibilities at our fingertips right now. We are the future our ancestors dreamed of. So what are we doing with it?
Think about it:
- Booker T. Washington built Tuskegee Institute with limited resources, during the height of segregation.
- Madame C.J. Walker created a beauty empire when Black women couldn’t even vote.
- Carter G. Woodson launched Negro History Week with nothing but conviction and a mimeograph machine.
Now imagine what they could’ve done with:
- AI that analyzes markets in real time
- Social platforms that reach billions overnight
- Crowdfunding tools that turn ideas into capital
- Digital media that removes the need for permission or approval
The truth is: we are the ones who decide. The tools are here. The opportunity is now.
Embracing the future require abundance, not scarcity. Give yourself permission to think big and take bold action, even if it's just one step at a time. In the words of Tony Robinson, "Losers react, leaders anticipate."
Don't let others design the future you're going to live in, take the reins and do it yourself.
