Your Vision Has to Be Bigger Than Your Current Reality

Dear Family,
When I was in college, people used to clown me for wearing suits to class.
I didn’t come from money. Those who know me know that I grew up in a working-class household in Irvington, NJ. If you don't know much about Irvington, Google it.
I had just enough to cover tuition and books, and some days, even that felt like a stretch.
But in my mind, I was already a businessman. I carried myself like one, not because I was trying to impress anyone, but because I had a vision for my future that was bigger than my current reality. That’s the thing about vision—it’s not about where you are right now; it’s about where you’re going.
A lot of people can only see what’s in front of them, but those who go on to do big things?
They see beyond that. They believe in their future before there’s any proof of it.
Too many of us limit ourselves because of our current circumstances.
We tell ourselves we’ll act differently when we make more money, when we have more experience, when people start taking us seriously.
But the truth is, people won’t believe in you until you believe in yourself first.
So, whatever it is you want for your life—whether it’s starting a business, making a career pivot, or building real wealth—start acting like the person who already has it. Show up like them. Think like them. Move like them.
Your reality will eventually catch up to your vision, but only if you have the courage to see it before anyone else does.
Make your vision bigger than your current reality.

Matt
