Protect Your Energy

Dear Family,


There’s a lot of chaos in the world right now.


If you turn on the news for more than five minutes, it’s hard not to feel the anxiety, the anger, the heaviness. Bad headlines. Loud opinions. Endless outrage. And if we’re not careful, that energy doesn’t just stay on the screen.

It follows us into our homes. Into our conversations. Into our sleep.


That’s why I want to challenge you to protect your energy.


Not in a “check out from the world” kind of way. But in a stay anchored kind of way. Because the truth is, the world will always give you reasons to be distracted. There will always be something to be mad about. Something to be afraid of. Something fighting for your attention.


But you still have a purpose.


You still have people who depend on you. You still have work that matters.

And none of that benefits from you being constantly activated, emotionally drained, or pulled into every crisis you don’t control.


Protecting your energy means being intentional about what you let in.


It means asking:


Does this help me show up better for my family? Does this move me closer to the life I’m trying to build? Or is it just noise? Sometimes protecting your peace looks like turning the news off. Sometimes it looks like putting your phone down. Sometimes it looks like choosing rest instead of reaction.


This isn’t avoidance. It’s discipline.


Excellence requires focus. Focus requires boundaries. And boundaries require courage, especially when the world is loud. So stay centered. Stay grounded. Stay focused on what you can control.


Your energy is your most valuable asset.


Make sure you're protecting it.
