What do you understand about your marriage?

Acknowledge what you understand, but don't lean on it.

Last summer I needed a lightweight stand. I had some nails and extra wood, and this thing was born. Beautiful, isn't it? 😐

Anyway, while I can sit some things on top it, I better not lean on it.

Why not?

Because it's not strong enough to keep me from falling down.

Your understanding is like my stand.

It is useful in a multitude of situations, and is critical.

At the same time, it's not made to keep you upright when you lean on it.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6).
