Hi --

Thank you for re-subscribing to my email newsletter. I'll spare you the details, but I was thrown for a loop by the old newsletter service... having to ask everybody to sign up again means I lost a lot of people.

But, I'm happy that YOU signed up again. You're part of my inner circle :-)

In this email, I'm sharing about:

  • Get a free Kindle version of Measures of Success tomorrow
  • Book giveaways related to "My Favorite Mistake"
  • Recent Webinars and Upcoming Events
  • Sharing Covid vaccination process improvements online

Free Kindle Book

As a thank you, I'm offering a FREE Kindle version of my book Measures of Success: React Less, Lead Better, Improve More. This is available for just one day -- Tuesday, March 2nd, from midnight to midnight, PT. Click here, tomorrow, to access this offer.

Book Giveaway Contests

To help promote my podcast "My Favorite Mistake" (and my fantastic guests), I've been doing a number of giveaway contests if they have a book (or, in one case, a card-based party game) to offer. Many of these are signed copies. You can learn more about the contest here. I'm adding new contests all the time, so be sure to check back. Pro tip: Once you enter the contest, sharing it via social media earns you more entries.

You can also subscribe to the podcast via different apps or via email. When you get that weekly email about new episodes, click through to the post for each episode to see if there is a contest, and the entry form is embedded in the post -- for example, the episodes with Eric Twiggs and Terry McDougall.

I'm still also releasing episodes in these podcast series:

I've also been participating in a networking group of podcasters called "Lean Communicators." Check out this website that aggregates our content or look for the hashtag #LeanCommunicators on LinkedIn.

Recent Webinars & Upcoming Events

I've been the presenter or moderator for a number of webinars recently. You can find links to the recordings below:

1) Understanding your Strengths and Blind Spots for Enhanced Buy-In and Communication

This was presented by Scott Burgmeyer, Executive Director – IQC (Iowa Quality Center) -- View on YouTube

2) How to Use Process Behavior Charts to Guide Better Outcomes in Healthcare

This was my presentation, hosted by Elisabeth Swan of the Just-in-Time Cafe. View on YouTube

3) Central Coast Virtual Lean Summit

I'm also happy to announce that I've been invited to give a TED-style 10-minute talk at this event. Thanks to Prof. Eric Olsen for the invite!

My title is “Red & Green is Not Lean,” so hopefully that sparks your interest.

The event is just $25. They have a lot of interaction planned so you won't be just a passive viewer — you can actually participate!

The event is going to be held on Monday, April 26, 2021, from 9:45 AM – 2:00 PM PDT.

Click here to learn more and to register.

4) Panel Discussion: #RootCauseRacism “The Colors of Love”

I was a moderator of last week's panel discussion (primarily led by Deondra Wardelle) on very important topics. View on YouTube.

5) WEBINAR: SYSTEMS OF HUMANE MANAGEMENT

I'll be joining Jim Benson for a continuation of the conversation that was Episode #401 of my Lean podcast. "It will be like that, but more of it," says Jim :-)

VacciNexus!

We've heard many people in healthcare say, "We're doing great process improvement work related to Covid vaccination... but we're siloed. How do we share? How do we learn from others?"

One way is the free "VacciNexus" platform (an idea from Value Capture, powered by KaiNexus technology).

Last I checked, we had over 100 improvements shared by users that include people from six countries and 25 U.S. states.

Learn more about the platform and apply for a free account here (if you're doing process improvement work in this realm).

You can also read a blog post I wrote about the initiative.

Thanks again!

Thanks again for sticking with me. I won't email you too often, probably monthly.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you and your organization, whether that's a virtual presentation, coaching, or more.

Best wishes,

Mark
