VIDEO: Soldiering taught me a few things

I don't often talk about my time in the military.
I didn't deploy, I didn't do anything wild. For years I didn't really talk about it on shows like the one I was on this week.
Now I look back and think about my time in the US Army National Guard differently. I realize that by pursing the calling of being a citizen soldier, that time dedicated to my nation was not a waste.
If anything, I'm proud I took the oath, wore the uniform, and could say I was a United States Army Officer, even if it wasn't for the long career I thought I was going to have.
This week, I got to speak about how joining the military didn't just help make me the business owner I am, but how it made me an all-around better person.
I hope if you served and felt you didn't get to serve to your fullest potential, you too could look back at moments during your time in whichever branch you served in, and have a sense of pride that when you had a choice for the direction of your life, you chose service, brotherhood, and great responsibility.
If you got branched Infantry like me, you got to shoot a lot of cool guns and occasionally blow things up too.
Sometimes I miss taxpayer sponsored range days, what can I say LOL...
Heres the interview I did with the guys from the MisFitNation podcast.
Talk soon,
