Hey awesome,

Is your 2024 off to a good start? Mine has been...wild. First, we moved - into a house! We're renting a sweet little place in Massachusetts for a few months while we figure out some next steps, and I have gotten reacquainted with winter.

Second, we're less than two weeks out from the release of Beyond Enemies, and there's a free short story on Baen.com from the same universe (and the same timeframe as the story "Next Question" from Chicks in Tank Tops). It's called "Next Right Action" and is from the point of view of a very human soldier, so you get a view of the Eights from the outside. I hope you check it out and let me know what you think!

Third, I went to MarsCon and had an amaaazing time, and then after MarsCon something happened that I'm still wrapping my head around

I...started reading the Honorverse in high school. I love it, and so many of David Weber's books (like, oh, In Fury Born!!!!!). And now I get to write in two of his universes, with him and I swear if I pinch myself any harder my arm is going to just fall off. I have been so incredibly lucky with my co-authors, and to get to write these books is....

WHEW it is a delight. I am so honored (the puns write themselves, now!) and will do the best I can to honor the shoes I'm following behind and joining.
