📚 November is for reading 📚

Hey awesome,

Hope you’re warm and cozy as we slide into the darkest days of the year. I’ve stocked up on hot chocolate and blankets, and we’re in the literal midst of a holiday light show, so it’s pretty lovely here.

Also lovely: I’m nearly caught up on deadlines! Just this week I submitted a short story I’ll hopefully be able to tell you about next time, and now I'm deep into a novel about badass cars and the gorgeous ladies who love them. Definitely some fun for the winter months!

A big fun thing currently - as you might remember, Beyond Enemies will be out Feb 6th, anywhere books are sold. If you are interested in reading it early, well! Baen does this awesome thing where you can pick up the eARC of a book a few months ahead of its official release. It might still have a few typos or minor errors, but it’s the book all right, and you can be among the first to read it. You can check it out here if that sort of thing is of interest to you.

I hope you love hanging out with Breezy – and that you let me know what you think!

In 4HU news, universe creator Mark Wandrey's latest is out - and secrets are-a-spilling!! Winged Hussars: Andromeda is part of the Phoenix Initiative, and a great place to get caught up with what's going on with some certain famous folks...

From the back cover:

The Winged Hussars, the only one of the Four Horsemen mercenary organizations to specialize in space warfare, have succeeded in what is arguably the most difficult branch of the profession.

Alexis Cromwell is now the longest-serving commander in Hussars’ history, and her long-term romance with Nigel Shirazi, commander of Asbaran Solutions, has finally resulted in a complicated marriage and two equally complicated children.

The Phoenix Initiative, started by Nigel and supported by Jim Cartwright as Minister of War, has resulted in hundreds of new Human mercenary companies, and with the Hussars growing by leaps and bounds, Alexis has begun taking contracts again to compete with them.

But during a simple mission, things quickly go sideways when the Hussars find out that they’re being hunted in turn. And when her young children become involved, her opponents have gone too far. Alexis has never been one to take a challenge personally, but this time that’s what it is—personal.

And in tracking down her children, she’ll find an answer to a mystery that’s been eluding the Horsemen for decades.

Definitely a must read - and an excellent one! For some other great, (and also free!) reads for these long nights, you can check out the following:

And with that, I’ve got get to work in a certain game's universe (and also maybe go searching for shark teeth some more), so that’s all from me.

Til next time,

Marisa
