I’ve previously written how Amazon may or may not be the wet shaver’s friend. There are a lot of dodgy products, unscrupulous sellers, and fake reviews.

On the other hand, Amazon is a huge factor in consumer shopping, especially around the holidays.

So if you’re going to buy there anyway, can you also purchase high quality wet shaving soap to add to your cart?

I did some poking around and discovered a few well-known wet shaving soap artisans maintain an "official" presence on Amazon! A few others can be found from third party Amazon sources.

Barrister And Mann Omnibus

Barrister And Mann recently announced their "final" shave soap base reformulation, "Omnibus."

Frankly, I'm skeptical: it seems like all shave soap artisans love to continually "play" with their ingredient mix--it seems to be in their DNA.

But if Omnibus really is the final ingredient set, I'm more than OK with it. I picked up some Le Grande Chypre shave soap in the Omnibus base and I think it's definitely an improvement over their already excellent previous Reserve and Excelsior bases and a fine one to stick with.
