TSA Changes Its Carry-On Razor Policy (Again)
Can you bring a safety razor on an airplane in carry-on luggage?
Back in 2023 Mrs. Mantic59 and I traveled by air to Michigan to attend the Maggard Razors meetup. At that time I discovered that when traveling by air in the US, double edge or single edge safety razors–razors with blades that can be removed–were no longer permitted in carry-on luggage, even if there is no blade.
I recently saw a few comments on the wet shaving forums indicating the TSA razor policy had changed yet again. It seems like TSA has back-tracked and now permits safety razors again…with a couple caveats.
So I took a trip to my local airport to speak with their TSA supervisor.
