Hi ,
This email was meant to be a reflection of the first month since publishing Nakoma and the Prince. However, I didn’t see breaking my wrist playing netball as being on the cards for 2024.
Since typing with one hand is more challenging than you think, here’s a brief list of what’s happened since publishing Nakoma.
- My cat, Mani, passed away from kidney failure the week after Nakoma released
- In the first two weeks I sold around 77 books
- I adopted a new kitten called Quintet. He’s a ragdoll and only nine weeks old this week.
- One of my dogs, Mowgli, went to the vet for infected toenail
- I fell over playing netball and fractured my wrist badly enough that I may need surgery. In a few days, I’ll go to a specialist to confirm what needs to be done
- Since breaking my wrist, I’m learning about all the things I need both hands for, like doing my hair or shaving my right armpit. Still, I’m grateful that I still have the use of my dominant hand.
- I’m also learning how to dictate on word since typing one-handed is a lot worse than I thought it would be.
If you made it through listening to me, Winge about life, and you certainly deserve a free book or short story. Below are links to the newsletter promos I’m part of this month. If you’re willing to sign up to another authors mailing list, you can get a free sample of their work in the form of a book snippet, a full book, or a short story. I hope you enjoy!
