Counting Down to Release Day

Broken beds, custom bookmarks, and rainbow lorikeets

image

Hi ,

Nobody tells you that when you're trying to launch a book, life will get a little crazy. Nakoma and the Prince is only 1 week away from it's release date, but it's not the reason life is hectic.

Since my last newsletter so much has happened. There's been a broken bed (not for any fun reasons), an injured rainbow lorikeet, and a fallen tree branch (that once chopped up was the size of my corolla).

Between these day to day mini disasters, I've been preparing for my debut book launch at Chapter's Cafe and Bookshop in Karalee (QLD, Australia). I'll be at the venue from 10am to 12pm on the 24th of Feb (next week) and selling copies of my novel, Nakoma and the Prince.

Preorder Global

There will also be a door prize for all attendees to set up a lucky new reader with the perfect cosy reading set. A good friend of mine has also designed custom bookmarks for Nakoma and the Prince to complete the reading experience. The first 50 preorders get a free bookmark with their purchase of Nakoma and the Prince (AUS only). So far 30 of these bookmarks have already been claimed and their orders organised for collection next Saturday.

The most challenging part of life recently has been watching the decline of my beloved cat, Mani.

We've known since October 2020 that Mani has kidney failure and every so often he will take a turn for the worse that makes me fear for him. But this one has been different. The good news is there is a new medication we can try now as vet science progresses. Still, if you're the praying type, I would appreciate any good thoughts you can spare for Mani.

On that sad note, if you've made it this far in the email you certainly deserve a little treat. Get your free clean fantasy and paranormal reads today with only a newsletter subscription. These stories are perfect for young adult readers or adults who prefer spice free romance.

Keep dreaming (and thanks for reading),

Monica
