centaurs and strong FMCs

Find a new favourite FMC while you catch up on my latest writing projects

Hi ,

It's been a while since we last spoke so, how are you? What's new? Are you freezing in an Aussie winter or loving the sun in the Northern Hemisphere?

I'll go first.

I'm getting better. My wrist is more functional now (but not fully healed) and I'm finally writing again. Unfortunately, it's not the book I know some readers are hoping for. For a while, I was trying to write Omarion as the hero of book 2 in the Patel Chronicles, but it just wasn't working. I realised that Omarion is more of a New Adult character than he is a Young Adult love interest and I don't want to write something that's not age appropriate.

That said, what am I writing?

It's a novel set in the same universe as More than Magic, but in the present day. There are centaurs, elves, fauns, satyr, pixies, and more. It's an Urban, YA Fantasy with a romantic subplot that makes my heart sing with joy to write. And it's set in Australia!

When can you read it? Not for a very long time... But I do have some other stories for you!

This month is all about strong female characters, and in this selection of free books and short stories have come to deliver. I've picked out my favourite covers for you, but I'd love to hear about what you chose to read instead.

Strong Women Here!

In this collection you'll also find my prequel to the Patel Chronicles Of Royals and Warriors. This duet of short stories features two young women who are strong in very different ways. Terra is fierce and deadly with her throwing knives, while Tulia is courageous and clever. If you've read Of Royals and Warriors, let me know who was your favourite character.

Until next time...

Keep Dreaming.

Monica
