Construction photos & quick ministry updates

Blessings, friends!
Work on the new property is progressing well. THANK YOU again for making this possible! The workers have completed the border wall and they are now working on some additions and renovations. An additional bathroom and a room for the overnight security guard are being built. As with most building projects, more renovations were needed than originally expected. I am attaching a few photos of the work (if you’d like to see more photos, join us on Facebook). Doreen is hoping to move the girls into the new home before June!

Mini Updates:
- We have now rescued 10 girls this year! Additionally, 51 girls continue to thrive in private school.
- Microfinance Ministry: you may recall our plan to launch a women’s Microfinance Ministry early in 2024. Everything was in place (the initial group of women, the training, trainers, and format) but we didn’t have funds for a venue. Our plan was, and still is, to do it at our new property. But, in the interim, we had hoped to find a church willing to host the ladies for free. This did not materialize, but I think it was God’s leading, as the Lupins’ staff is already very busy with preparation for the new property. I will give another update once plans are solidified.
- Donor Advised Fund (DAF): Some of our ministry friends prefer to support Lupins through their DAF. You can too! Email me if you have questions about this.
- Other Giving Options: Our brokerage account is set up, which means Lupins can now accept donations of stocks and mutual funds! In June, I will give more details about how you can do this. If you need this information before June, you can reply to this email or call me (484-756-4055). Additionally, did you know you can give to Lupins via an IRA charitable rollover to satisfy your required minimum distribution? Win-win!
Pray:
- A visit from Doreen: Doreen hopes to visit the U.S. from mid September through mid October this year. However, her recent travel visa request was denied and she is now in the process of appealing the decision. Please pray for this request to be granted. Once she is approved, I will send details about her plans so many of you can meet her.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15: 57-58.
If I can pray for you in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out.
With love,
Kristen
