Hi,

Sorry about the late date of my news letter... I have been busy with ghost-writing, editing, and writing an unexpectedly-requested short story for Bookouture, while planning my next novel. Things are changing at chez Lewando. Retirement doesn't mean sitting around and doing nothing, it very much means being allowed to be in control of my own time and discovering that I have over-committed myself on so many fronts.

Having been asked to write a series by a mainstream publisher has to be a key moment in my writing life. After a history of writing genre fiction, then self-publishing, I finally have verification of myself as an author from a mainstream editor - a good-feel factor that is going a long way!

On the home front, we have lived in Ireland for several years now in a typically dark and gloomy Irish farmhouse that we have been slowly renovating. We are finally able to invest in a sun room - and have builders in doing it for us. We have had enough of the DIY! They have done in a week what would have taken us a year. I'll put a new storyboard up on my website once it's all sorted. As we had the roof re-slated last summer, we are hoping to invest in some solar panels to finally be warm for next winter, which will be amazing. All good news on the home front.

WRITING NEWS

The Irish key, women's fiction, is now available for pre-order. If you do choose to do this, please click on the cover image or the link below, as it lets Bookouture know where the pre-order originated from.

You can help by pre-ordering.

The more sales on publication day - 24th April, 2024 - the better my chances of getting onto the best seller list on Amazon.

Book Promotion

Luck of the Irish was advertised as an Irish 'Literary' event. To be presented with a banner featuring half-naked leprechauns was a little unexpected, to say the least. Unfortunately, I have committed. You might find something in the list to suit. Do click on a couple of books, even if you choose not to invest. It will assist my stats, and help me to continue finding promotions for you.

PLEASE NOTE: I don't have time to read every book that comes via a book funnel, or a 'swap' promotion with another author, so if you get a sample, a badly written book, a cliff-hanger ending, or anything else that you find irritating, let the author know, by way of a review; don't shoot the messenger! But if you discover an exceptionally good book, let me know so that I can read it, too and pass the word...

Even if you choose not to take any of the books from the offers, do please click on some links - it would help my 'share' statistics. I have been refused entry to some promotions as my share rate isn't high enough. Book funnels are dominated by some very aggressive authors. I admit to being a social mediaphobe and live in the hope that writing quality beats the ability to bludgeon my way into readers' kindles.

Happy Reading
