Addition by Subtraction

If you’re over 40, starting to feel that your body isn’t responding the way it used to…


And you’re tempted to ramp up your workouts, nutrition, supplements, and/or basically EVERYTHING to get things going again…


STOP! 


You probably don’t need to do MORE to reach your goals…


It might be time to do something called “addition by subtraction.” 


Basically, that’s refining what you’re ALREADY doing, not piling on more.


I’ve been there, done that, and helped lots of other clients over 40 who were in the exact same boat.


Let me show you what I mean.


Small refinements that make a big difference


If you already do cardio like walking or using the elliptical, increase your intensity in one or two sessions by adjusting your speed or incline, and cut back on the time.


If you already eat mostly healthy, whole foods, try adding protein to your first meal or including veggies at each meal.


Stop overdoing. If you’re pushing through near-daily workouts or low-calorie meal plans, your already-stressed body might need a break.


These refinements do not require extra time out of your schedule… what they do is make the time you are already using even MORE effective.


When you shift your mindset from “more” to “next-level,” progress becomes easier and way more sustainable.


Remember: your body is not a machine. It’s a finely balanced (and amazing!) living organism that needs a balance of work, rest, and play to operate at its best!
