The Secret to Getting Noticed in Business (Hint: It’s Not Enough to Build It)

Apr 09, 2025 9:01 am

When I opened the doors to my brand new garment factory, I waited.

I believed in “build it and they will come”.

I put my heart and soul into building this thing.

It was designed and setup professionally with the help of an engineer.

I hand picked every single team member.

I built the best systems to deliver the best results to my customers.

But no one was coming.

It was the best kept secret.

I wasn’t telling anyone about it except those close to me or known to me in my business network.

It took a lot of heartache to realise that when you build something beautiful they don’t just come.

It was my responsibility to create visibility.

It was my responsibility to go to the mountain top and scream at the top of my lungs so that everyone and anyone knows about what I have built.

Not to show off or anything like that.

But rather just so that they know they have an option to work with a state of the art professional factory.

For them to know that we were willing to do whatever it takes to deliver high quality products alongside exceptional service.

When I finally understood this the flood gates began to open.

People started visiting.

They loved what they saw.

And they wanted to be a part of it.

They wanted to experience it.

We had massive wins in that journey and also massive setbacks.

But what we built was truly exceptional.

Don’t wait for customers to come, go to where they are.

Let them know, GENUINELY, how you can add value to their business and life.

Stop being the best kept secret on planet earth and go out there and serve.

Creating visibility is your responsibility.
