What is #firefighting in a #business?

The time and effort that someone uses to deal with problems within a #company or #organization that needs attention immediately, instead of dealing with its ordinary business.

But here’s the problem, too much time is spent fighting fires rather than moving the business forward! 

And before you know it, it becomes part of the system rather than a one-off situation.

And I am definitely not immune to it.

And, I have also been part of the fire fighting business, namely, my #familybusiness of garment manufacturing. It was not fun!

It's definitely one of those easier said than done things, but it's painful to deal with only once.
