How to delegate when you don’t trust your team?

Let's be honest:

Delegating when you don’t fully trust your team is tough.

I would assign tasks…

Then hover over every detail like a helicopter parent.

It was draining for me and frustrating for them.

Here’s what finally worked & working for my clients too:

🔹Freedom

Freedom to do their job with their intelligence & to enjoy their workplace.

Not to micromanage, but to create accountability.

We were on the same page.

🔹 Empowerment

They started tracking their own progress.

They shared updates and results.

They actually did better than I expected.

🔹Trust

When they asked, “What should I do?”

I asked, “What do YOU think?”

We walked through the decision together.

The hardest part?

Getting out of the way.

My constant involvement was stopping new leaders from stepping up.

The business runs without me being in it every day.

It didn’t happen overnight.

But it happened.

If you’re stuck doing everything because “no one can do it as well as you can”

Maybe they can.

If you give them the space.

What’s your biggest challenge with delegation right now?
