Stand up

Apr 15, 2022 12:17 pm

, As I woke up this morning, I remembered that probably in a few months, I may not be staring at this beautiful bulb in my bedroom anymore. We have stayed in this apartment for a few years now and it has become really small and quite uncomfortable.

We have started looking to get something bigger and suitable for our family size but even with all the discomfort, it feels safe to not move out because change can be so scary.

, I keep thinking “What if the new house has a ghost?”

“What if the roofs start to leak in the rainy season?”

“How do I cope if I discover the neighbors are noisy”

It's amazing how we like the idea of making progress but hate to see changes around us.

Change is scary even when it's for good, we all want to live under predictable conditions but even this stable condition you live in now is ephemeral.

Change is inevitable because God placed us in a world of time. Every ticking second, every minute, every day ushers in the arrival of the new.

Did you just get married or did you just have a baby?

It may even be the loss of a loved one whose absence has shaken the core of your life

What if you moved out of a country or probably or a state or maybe you just changed jobs.

It may feel like the change may stop your beating heart and shut down your mind but it won't.

Avoiding change leads to stagnation. If you don’t embrace change, you will be at the mercy of whatever it brings to you because no matter how you resist change, it will come. When you become passive with it, you lose the opportunity to be in control.

Embrace this change with courage and make the best use of each season. Gather knowledge and skills needed for the season of your life.
