A few days ago I was invited as a guest on the Family Circle Show on Kapital FM Abuja to speak about several issues including comparing the way our parents raised us in the 70s and 80s and how we are raising children today.

In that session, I mentioned that the focus on the "how" isn't even as relevant as the "when" 

It's isn't a battle of who is better at parenting but more of how equipped are we to raise children for a specific time. 

Children WILL make mistakes, it is a natural prerequisite for learning. How then can we ensure that the corrective measures we administer to them are effective and not damaging thereby affecting their lives and purpose?
