I have gotten more and more emotional as I grow older. Yes, I'm that person that would read a testimonial and cry, I would watch a child put up a stage performance even when they aren't my child and I get teary-eyed. Listening to Serena give credit to her family got me treary ( you already know it's a strength I have, so let's move on)🤣

So, back to Serena or rather family. I have always believed that there are several springboards we are all presented with, especially as children and the family where we are born is one of them.

Here's how I categorise the springboards ; ♦ Parenting advantage ( family) ♦ Resources Advantage ♦ Physical advantage ♦ Talent and gift advantage ♦ Self-drive/motivation.

Of all these springboards, the most important is the parenting advantage.- the knowledge, choices and opportunities parents make available to their children.

We've read and watched the story of how Serena's parents had tennis rackets in hers and her older sister's hands before they were 4years old.

They started moving, playing, strategising, staying focused, being intentional and self-motivating early in their lives.

They spent their teens engaged in productive things and putting their energy in the right place- you know what they say about energy, " Whatever you give energy will grow."

Stories like these are the inspiration behind the Mastermind program where we support preteens to start directing themselves and building self-motivation and focus.

We are raising children who distinguish themselves. It's the beginning of a term and we are excited about what the children will learn already!
