Happy belated Father's all the amazing fathers out there  

As I watched our children plan to celebrate their dad in the few days before Father's Day, the scripture that says "Honour thy Father and thy Mother" came to mind, and it dawned on me that what they are doing is as God has commanded.

Then again it occurred to me, that honour is actually something not everyone knows how to give and it is possible that our children fail in this command just because no one taught them how to honour their parents.

Indeed,honour is something that must be taught. And this is learnt only when it is experienced. 

What am I saying?...

Your children will honour you when you teach them honour. When you honour your children, your spouse and the people around you, they learn honour as a currency and use it first on you. 

It was such a beautiful thing to behold our children honour their dad.

I love how Wendy Ologe put it at the PTM conference "Honour is customer service brought home."

Dear parents, bring customer service home this week. Treat your spouse ,children and staff like you would treat your premium customer.
