Ever bought a product that gave you double the value you bargained for and even more?

While having a follow-up session with one of our parent-partners ( oh yes, that's the title for the parents who enrol their kids for the Mastermind Circle ) I told her one of my fears about parenting children today is that we may put them at a worse advantage than we had. As in it may end up as 2-0 for them.

Am I getting you confused, don't be, come with me. You see our parents were ignorant about some things while raising us, but the dynamics back then allowed us many advantages like exploring outdoors, being creative while playing, interacting with nature, building socio-emotional skills, motor skills and many of the life skills we apply today. All of these while playing!

So even though our parents were obsessed about raising us with a "survival mindset" the times allowed us to develop life skills directly or indirectly.

Now our children on the other hand who live in an era where the 'survival mentality isn't tenable anymore are being raised by parents who are still forcing that mindset on them in a world where what matters is your ability to IMPACT. That is one zero.

As if that isn't bad enough, many children are grossly unskilled because they are shielded, expected to conform and aren't allowed to explore, get creative or engage in valuable things like doing chores and discovering or honing their skills and talent. That is a second zero.

We won't calm down and teach them the skill they need to thrive, and we won't allow them to figure life out through their mistakes, play and exploration. We are creating ( not raising ) customised children.

Yes, we have perfected the acts of destroying great vision in infancy because of ignorance, lack of attention and because of the many things calling for our attention.

But here's the good news. At the Mastermind Circle ( an accountability and mentorship platform created for young kids ) we have carefully thought out skills and created a system to help your child create and achieve goals while encouraging and holding them accountable.

And parents get double the value paid for because they also have access to us and we partner with them through feedback, tools and strategies to support their kids at their end.
