Hi Everyone

The past two weeks have been busy. We are deep into the Queensland Outback now where it is rather dry and temperatures are hitting 37C/98.6F. It's the weather I love and missed so much when in Tasmania for twelve months.

Since my last newsletter we left Clermont and spent one week in Rubyvale in the gem fields. Other towns there are Emerald and Sapphire, Emerald being a major centre.

We arrived in Longreach, 'heart of the outback' last Sunday and have another week here. The town is well known for its Stockman's Hall of Fame, an amazing place and I never tire of visiting, (I paid a visit on Wednesday), the Qantas museum complete with a jumbo jet, and an authentic stagecoach ride through the streets. I adore this town and the people.

From here we have also visited Muttaburra, around 100km from Longreach and part of the dinosaur trail. There is an interpretative centre there with a model of the Muttaburrasauras-he is huge! I have visited the attraction a couple of times and recommend a visit if you in this neck of the woods.

I now have The Lady in Charge finalised and loaded ready for release with a new cover as I was again let down by a cover artist. It seems they don't want the work, sigh. Not to worry, I think I like the new cover better. I have given you a preview below.
