Should I write or help my kids with their project? Oh, the dilemma's of motherhood

Hello

Only six more weeks of school. Only six more weeks of school. Only SIX more weeks of SCHOOL!

With a teenager, a preteen and a nine-year-old I'm finding myself knee deep in end-of-the-year projects and papers. My teenager has come to loath writing book reviews (To be fair, her teacher is really mean ...fyi: she's homeschooled), my preteen thinks it's totally unfair that her little sister doesn't have as many tests and the little one claims no one knows how hard it is to make a brochure on the 'stupid, boring' state of Oklahoma.

PHEW! If any of you are going through this as well, I feel ya!

Thankfully, because of the co-writing sprints I run in my Creative Writing Community, I've still managed to get past one third of my latest contemporary book and about one fourth of the way into my latest Historical Fiction.

I've also found time to interview some really interesting people for the Pencils&Lipstick podcast: Rhonda Douglas, Nick Thacker, Emily Myers, Alessandra Torre and more!

PS: anyone have any advice on how I can survive the next few weeks ...? 😂

For Mother's Day weekend I lowered the price of my physical books, PLUS I'm giving you all a 15% discount for being on my list. You can check out the books here. Use promo code WKEND or click the link here.

Book Sales and Promotions

First, the difference.

A book promotion is when an author offers a book for free. When you download the free book, you are agreeing to be added to their newsletter. You can always unsubscribe, but please don’t claim it was spam.

(Pro tip: the best thing way to say thank you for the free book is to give a review on it if you liked it. It takes time and energy to write a book, but this is a tough market to get seen in, hence we give away books for free. But free doesn’t mean it took us any less time or energy!)

Book sales are not free, though the author is many times discounting the book. Buying the book does not necessarily add you to their newsletter.

PROMOTION: Find a free book here in the genres of Action & Adventure, Mystery & Suspense, and Romance.
