This week, my family will be arriving in our winter location. But of course, I’d never forget to email you. After all, emailing you is all about

• Us getting to know each other better
• Me helping you with gameschooling

So here’s me doing both right now:

First, I’d like to share 3 things about my hometown that I think are pretty interesting. Let me know if your town is similar.

1. Even though I haven't lived there in over 20 years, and haven't been back in over 5, I still consider Portland (OR) my hometown.
2. Powell's Books is an absolutely ginormous used bookstore, and probably one of my favorite places on earth!
3. The public transportation is truly incredible, with buses, MAX (last I was there, they were up to 3 different lines!), and the fare-free zone in the middle of downtown.
