Hey Dragons!
If you’re following me on Facebook, you might have seen the announcement of the latest Kickstarter I’m in.
I’m part of an anthology featuring various authors in a fairy tale, folklore, and fable reimagining.
My story is Peach Samurai, a disgraced samurai who is cursed by a mystical peach seed and is faced with the ultimate choice: allow himself to fall into corruption or kill his people.
We fully funded in less than 90 minutes and are already meeting so many various stretch goals.
You can still support us over the next 19 days:

Yokai Of The Week: Kitsune
If you’ve read any of my books, one of the most prominent creatures I use is the kitsune. They’re in Shade of the Kitsune and Shadow of the Crown. They will also be featured in a future romantasy book.
Kitsune are a trickster-type yokai that take the form of foxes. They have the magical ability to transform into people and hide amongst them to cause chaos. Other times, they will possess the body of a woman so she falls ill.
Kitsune are also often portrayed as females, seductive, and love alcohol. But that’s not always the case.
Not all kitsune are dark either. The Goddes Inari has a type of kitsune spirit that works as a messenger for her.
These yokai can live for hundreds or thousands of years. The older they become, the more tails they possess until they have 9 tails.
You might be familiar with the kitsune from some pop culture including the Pokemon Ninetails, Kurama the nine-tails from Naruto, or Tails from the Sonic games.
Let me know what yokai you want to hear about next! If you have other questions about kitsune, you can also ask me. I love talking about yokai.
