On The Desk
I’m continuing to update Shade of the Kitsune on Royal Road and Patreon each week. A lot of people have really enjoyed it. Now I’m working on doing some edits and publishing my next book “Taken by the Kitsune” on Kindle Vella. Right now, the first two chapters are uploaded and available to read.
Being yelled at every day at her job was the worst thing Eri ever had to deal with. At least it was until a demon chased her home. Now without a job, the promise of a strange company wanting to hire her as a translator is all too tempting. Transported to a world not unlike medieval Japan with demons at every turn, Eri is faced with two facts: she hates the super attractive Lord of this strange country and she is supposedly some kind of famed hero. An Inuyasha meets Elise Kova serial.
Around The Desk
Earlier this week, my husband asked me if I’d like to go with some friends possibly to Japan this Summer. Now that I have all of my vacation days available to me, without needing to use most of them for my MFA, this was something I actually could do.
But that meant one thing: I needed to refresh myself on my Japanese. I’ve been working through my old textbooks and practicing my writing. Stuff has slowly come back to me, but I’m definitely still really rusty. I was around N5 level back when I was in school, so I hope I can get back to that and be close to maybe N4 level.
On The Bookshelf
Thankfully, this week I’ve stayed with A Dark Path by Stuart Thaman. I’ve been a bit slower because of other things in life, but I keep pushing through. I want it to be the first book I add to my list of books read this year. My goal is 30 books in 2023 and I have a digital reading journal to record it all with.
