How many of you have read LitRPG before?
For those who haven’t, it’s a genre within fantasy/scifi that centers around video games and tabletop RPG mechanics. You don’t have to be a fan of these to enjoy it either.
In some cases, the person is simply playing a virtual reality game and can leave or come out whenever they want. Sometimes, they’re stuck within the game. And other times, they’re transported to a new world that just conveniently has video game attributes to it.
I recently came across a manuscript I wrote a few chapters on called Death Deserved. I only have a few chapters written for it that I still want to revise a bit, but it’s inspired by the same genre.
I haven’t decided fully if I want it to be more of a virtual reality world he can leave or a world with video game mechanics as I restructure a bit of the storyline. However, what I do know is it will be a story of the fall of a hero. This will be set after the hero has won and beaten the big bad evil guy but is betrayed by those he saved and goes on a path that leads him to become the villain. I’m excited to touch base on it soon.
I will have the book on Ream as I complete chapters and I’m still deciding if I want it on RoyalRoad or Vella. I’d love your thoughts on it.
