🦉 WoW #41 - The Wise, The Healthy, and The Wealthy 🦉

Nov 04, 2020 7:20 pm

Happy Wednesday, Wise Owl Nation!

I'm not going to lie to you, this is one of the first weeks I have been unsure what to write to you about. It's not that I don't have anything to write about, it's just that there is so much going on right now, I am not 100% sure where to put my focus to give all of you the best value.

With that being said, the show must go on, so I am moving back to the Wise, Healthy, and Wealthy tips format so you can pick and choose what might be most helpful for you right now.

Just remember, no matter what is going on in your life right now, life does go on. You can always choose to only focus on what you can control, and do everything in your power to improve.

You are all awesome. Let's get into it.

You can find all past issues (including this one) here.

Wisdom Tip of The Week: A 5-step process for anything

I like to read anything that James Clear writes and recently I saw this really neat "5-step process for nearly anything" and decided I had to share it with all of you!

"A 5-step process for nearly anything:

  1. Explore widely. Find out what is possible
  2. Test cheaply. Run small, quick experiments. Sample things.
  3. Edit ruthlessly. Focus on the best. Cut everything else.
  4. Repeat what works. Don't quit on a good idea.
  5. Return to 1."

I don't care who you are or what you are working on, this is a pretty comprehensive process for getting things done.

Health Tip of The Week: There is no such thing as a perfect "diet"

Biolayne is one of my favorite nutrition Instagram accounts. He is so incredibly anti-bullshit, but also provides really quality content.

He recently shared a post on how to lose weight with a diet.

1) Choose a methodology that feels least restrictive to YOU (this is very individual)
2) Be consistent
3) Exercise regularly (this also keeps weight off)
4) Eat higher protein and fiber if possible
5) Focus on making this a new LIFESTYLE. Don't neglect the diet AFTER fat loss.

Wealth Tip of The Week: Learn about Bankless

Anytime someone asks me where they should get started with Cryptocurrency I usually point them to the Bankless Podcast.

Well now the team at Bankless has released a badass starter guide for how to get started with going bankless. - You can find it here

I've been thinking a lot about freedom lately (I wonder why 😉) and one of the most important technologies for the future of freedom lies with Cryptocurrency.

I've preached the value of crypto many times in this newsletter, but every time an election rolls around and I see friends and family get anxious, I go back to the basics of advice.

  1. Focus on what you can control
  2. Make yourself better
  3. What can you do to advance your freedoms

With Crypto you get a lot more control over you finances, and it definitely gives you a lot more financial freedom. Check out the getting started with bankless guide for a better breakdown of the concepts.
