I do get a bit tired of people wishing me a Merry Christmas, even those who know I am Jewish with a side of Buddhism thrown in.

I believe it's well-intentioned, and yet it ignores the truth that we are not all the same, doing the same thing and experiencing the same thing at the same time.

I don't much care for being called ma'am or miss or being referred to as Lady either, but that's another story and a longer explanation, so I rarely comment except for the occasional, "That's Mr. Lady to you." Said with a smile so it might sink in rather than be rebuffed.

How are you? This year has been quite a ride for many of us in various ways.

How are you holding up? Are you finding pockets of peace? Are you allowing yourself to take a break, nap, or take a deep breath?

I've been working on several major projects since August and they are coming to fruition over the next month or 2.

A few weeks ago, the frost on the car windows was so beautiful I had to stop and take some pictures. I can get lost in all the different patterns of ice that form on windows, in puddles, and even in an ice cube tray.
