Hello and welcome to another Read Another Page newsletter. Can you believe it, I actually am getting a newsletter out a second month in a row! Do I get some sort of prize for this? No? Oh, well.
Let's see, I have so much going on that I'm not quite sure just where to start.
I suppose I should start with the Five Fall Favorites since that is happening right now!
I told you I wasn't going to be a part of it this year, but i got talked into doing just one post for Friday (which is Historical Fiction day). So go check out my post and take a look and why I write Historical Fiction HERE. Or head over to Kate's Blog first. And don't forget to enter the giveaway! (Sorry, it's only open to those in the US this year.)
Keep an eye on my blog for the release of my newest novel! It used to be called "Lawrence & Lenexa" but my wonderful cover designer, Kate (yes, the same Kate who is doing the FFF this year), was playing around with covers and put a different title on one version and it fit. So keep your eyes open for the release of Summer Light.
I have also been swamped with working on all the preparation for the release of A Homewood Christmas. We've been reading and rereading the stories, editing them, formatting and rereading the stories, finishing up the cover, making sure everything is ready and final for the book's release on . . .
October 24th!
I can't wait to get my hands on a paperback copy of this book! It's SO PRETTY! And it's no small book! This book is 481 pages long!!! But it has six stories in it, so I guess you can expect it to be longer than most books.
And that's not all. Like I said, I have a lot going on. Not only did I throw together a post for the FFF, and am getting ready to release my new novel, and working to get A Homewood Christmas ready to be released, but I'm also working on Camp stuff.
I created new Journals and Trail Trackers for fall. The only things I changed were the coloring pages, most of the Challenge Canyon pages (got to make them more fall like, you know), and the covers this time. Go take a look at the new fall covers! Which one is your favorite?
Add ladies ensemble practice at church, orchestra practice at church, memorizing lines for the Christmas Play which I wrote for church (and yes, I wrote myself into it), and trying to get blog posts scheduled, writing in, babysitting my nieces and nephews, attending some of their volleyball games, and life in general, and you'll find my life is busy.
But I am enjoying the cooler weather. It hasn't been cold yet, but days in the 70s or low 80s are just delightful, and I've gotten to get out and walk a mile almost every day for a few weeks.
Are you enjoying lovely autumn weather? I hope so.
And with that, I'm going to run away and read.
