From the Editor's Desk:
My feet are tapping as I listen to the music playing across the street at the new houses being built. Twice a day (morning and afternoon) for about an hour each time the Hispanic workers turn on their radio, and we get to listen to Mexican style music. I have no clue what is being sung, but at least the music isn't hard rock. The other sounds of the morning are saws and hammers of the workers.
Weather Report:
Fall is here! It's reached the low 40s at night, and has been beautiful during the day! Sunday started out sunny and warm. We got home from church and turned on the AC because it was so warm and still. Later in the afternoon the wind began to blow. And blow. The temperatures went from 85º to 58º and rainy. The perfect weather for curling up with a good book. Right now it's overcast and in the 50s.
"Genius Burns":
Crickets still chirp
Still nothing written. I haven't written for 2 weeks. Maybe next week? I don't know though. I'll be working full days plus have the Five Fall Favorites going on.

KDWC:
Well, our second King's Daughters' Writing Camp has opened the gates. We had early registration starting on Monday which made things so much easier! We were then able to get all the early "campers" into camp in 30 minutes on October 1st. There has been a lot of chatting and writing, and getting to know each other. The official Camp doesn't start until the 15th of October. Right now we have 64 campers and 5 Aunties. Anyone want to join the fun?
Deputy Clerk's Report:
Work has been busy. Back in July I spend most of my time filing and doing it rather slowly so I didn't run out of things to do before my 4 hours was over. Now I'm filing, and registering people, voting people, and doing more filing and getting interrupted by another voter. Back in July Helen and I worked on different days and I only worked 2 days a week. Now we both work on the same days, and I'm working 4 days a week.
Next week I go in at 9 and work until 4:30. We're making progress in the filing. We'll see what happens as the election gets closer.
Read Another Page Publishing:
My proof copies arrived! It's so much fun to see them in paperback! Hopefully Lake Wood will be able to be published shortly. I think Sarah is planning on reading it tomorrow.
Five Fall Favorites:
This blog party starts on Monday!
Adventures with Wildlife:
I didn't have any adventures this week. Maybe this evening I will. My best friend and I are planning a fire this evening and maybe s'mores. :)
Book Nook:
I have done a little bit of reading. I did read American Haven on Sunday. It was good. I also read a very short book by my favorite author. Six O'clock in the Evening. Not sure what I'll read tomorrow.
Farewell:
Dad's at the men's breakfast at church. Sarah is probably sewing. And Mom's most likely cleaning up the kitchen. And I need to do some more things. So I'll end this. Hope you can join the Five Fall Favorites on Monday! And if you know of any writers who might be interested in joining our online writing camp, feel free to send the link to our website to them. Talk to you later!
