One month old

My second son turned one month old yesterday.

In 30 days he's gained 1.2kg. Grown 5cm. His face has changed. His grip is stronger. He's a different baby than the one we brought home.

One month. That's all it took.

It got me thinking about the designers I talk to every week.

Many have been job searching for 6 months. 12 months. Some longer.

They've sent hundreds of applications. Tailored their resume 37 times. Updated their portfolio over and over. Optimized their LinkedIn. Posted more. Prayed more.

And still — ghosted. Stuck. Burned out.

Not because they're not good enough.

But because they're working on the wrong things.

The old way of job searching doesn't work anymore. Spray and pray. Apply and hope. Optimize and wait.

Hiring managers aren't finding you through job boards. They're finding you through trust. Through relationships. Through people who vouch for you before the role is even posted.

One month is enough time to change everything.

In 30 days you could have clarity on your story — who you are, what you want, what makes you different.

You could have a list of target companies that actually fit you.

You could be having real conversations with the right people. Building trust. Getting momentum.

One month.

The same amount of time it took my son to transform.

The same amount of time it could take you.

P.S. Tomorrow I'm sharing my plan for 2026. Something I've been working on for a while. Keep an eye out.
