In job searching, it’s your shortest path to an insider conversation.

When you spot a warm lead:

1️⃣ Check for fit – Are they from a dream company? Are they in a role that overlaps with your career goals?

2️⃣ Act fast – Reach out within 48 hours. Response rates drop dramatically after the first 2 days.

3️⃣ Lead with curiosity – Not a pitch. Not “hire me.” Something like:

“Noticed you checked out my profile—anything in particular catch your eye?”

This opens the door without pressure.

They already signaled interest. You’re just giving them a nudge to continue the conversation.

Real example:

One of my clients, M, had several views from designers at target companies but never engaged them.

They assumed it was “just LinkedIn being LinkedIn.”

Once we reframed those notifications as inbound leads, they started treating them like opportunities:

• Reached out within 24 hours
• Asked genuine, curiosity-led questions
• Kept the conversation light, not transactional

In the first week, they booked 3 insider calls—all from people who had already checked them out once.
