It’s not talent. It’s not luck. It’s this.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on a pattern I keep seeing.
Some clients make rapid progress—within 6 weeks they’re booking interviews, getting referrals, even landing offers.
Others stay stuck for months, even though they’re in the same program.
What’s the difference?
It’s not:
→ how many years of experience they have
→ how polished their portfolio looks
→ who they know in the industry
It’s this: consistent action.
The clients who see results?
→ They take action even when it’s uncomfortable.
→ They don’t wait to feel ready.
→ They just do the real work—over and over.
The ones who don’t?
→ They procrastinate.
→ They wait for the “perfect time.”
→ They overthink and stay stuck in their own heads.
Here’s what that tells me:
If there’s something you know you need to do—but you’re not doing it—
That’s your body and your brain signaling: “this feels uncomfortable.”
And here’s the truth:
→ The only way to grow is to lean into that discomfort.
→ To do it anyway.
→ To keep doing it until it no longer scares you.
That’s how growth works.
It’s not about confidence first.
Confidence comes after action.
Same goes for job hunting:
→ Reaching out to a hiring manager? Feels awkward.
→ Asking for feedback on your case study? Feels vulnerable.
→ Applying to a stretch role? Feels scary.
But do it anyway.
Because the people who grow?
They don’t wait to feel ready.
They move—even when it’s messy.
So here’s my ask to you:
What’s one small thing you know you need to do—but keep putting off?
Write it down.
And then do it today.
Because only action creates progress.
Not more research. Not more planning.
Just action.
