The best opportunities don’t come from giving free value.

In fact, many of the job offers I’ve received weren’t because I gave endless free tips or content.

I became a LinkedIn Top Voice, grew from 6,000 to 30,000 followers in 1.5 years, and had recruiters and hiring managers sliding into my DMs because of something I learned:

The more free value I gave, the more “likes” I got—but not job offers.

This went against everything I was taught as a content creator:

"Build goodwill with value, then monetize."

That works if you’re building a mass-market brand selling low-ticket products.

But if you’re like me, and you want to land high-ticket job opportunities, you’re playing a different game.

Giving all your value away for free leads to lots of engagement but no real opportunities.

Reframe: Value is Follower Magnet. Insight is Leader Magnet.

Insight doesn’t tell people how to do something. It shows them why it matters.
