When the end keeps going quiet

If you’re an experienced UX or product designer, this might feel familiar.

You apply.

You get interviews.

Sometimes you even make it to the final round.

And then it stops.

No offer.

Little feedback.

Just enough silence to make you wonder what you’re missing.

Not in a dramatic way.

More in a quiet, unsettling one.

You know you’re not inexperienced.

You’ve done real work.

You’ve solved real problems.

So when the process keeps ending the same way, it’s hard not to replay every conversation in your head and ask yourself where it went sideways.

Nothing about this feels loud or obvious.

It just feels… confusing.

If that sentence — “I keep getting ignored or rejected at the end, and I don’t know what I’m missing” — lands a little too close to home, you’re not alone.

If you want to talk through it and get clarity before the next hiring rush, DM me “OBVIOUS HIRE.
