The difference between information and transformation

Hi there,
Have you ever taken a course packed with great information… but finished it feeling like nothing really stuck?
Most course creators don’t realize they’re doing this, but it happens all the time.
A course creator spends hours recording thoughtful lessons, sharing insights, and explaining concepts in detail. The content is valuable and well-intentioned.
But there’s one small thing missing.
Students are listening… but they’re not doing.
When lessons become too theory-heavy, students may feel like they’re absorbing a lot of information yet retaining very little.
They forget quickly.
They lose confidence in their ability to apply what they learned.
And over time, they quietly disengage from the course.
The shift that makes the biggest difference is simple.
Design your lessons to be more activity-heavy than teaching-heavy.
Instead of only explaining ideas, invite students to practice, experiment, and apply what they’re learning right away.
A helpful rule of thumb is:
70% application, 30% teaching.
When students actively use the material, the learning sticks — and that’s when real transformation begins in their confidence, skills, and results.
