It’s and final day of Wild Card Weekend and in Buffalo it will be freezing today with difficult playing conditions, so being great with the ball will be at a premium.  

I’m not sure how much the ball will go in the air, but having it go to the right place is critical and it’s a function of training the QB to understand coverages so he can process quicker.

That’s something that Mike Sullivan, the QB coach and current play caller of the Pittsburgh Steelers works hard at.

In this video, he tells a story of how he was amazed at how many Quarterbacks he would see at the NFL combine don’t have a protocol for diagnosing a defense.

Because of that he’s developed something he’s used over the years to help his QBs.  He tells the story of that in this video:
